The Chicken Door started because our hound mix, Opal, has an amazing nose, abundant curiosity, and is always hungry! I was making her favorite dehydrated chicken treats and went to the room where they were dehydrating, opened the door, and she was RIGHT THERE! She knew there was chicken behind that door, and every time we opened that door she came along, searching for chicken. So The Chicken Door was born.
As our community grows we’ll add more variety, new recipes focused on providing healthy options, and coming soon we’ll offer bandanas and collar bows and ties every elegant and dapper pup needs to make a grand entrance!
Our Current Favorites!
This is the treat that started it all. We named this crunchy delight after our beloved little hound, Opal. It was her nose, curiosity, and love of food that led us to The Chicken Door. Opal’s legacy lives on and we want to share her favorite things with your beloved dogs!
